A charcoal grill feast of kebabs, shawaya and roasted vegetables laid on dark wood

Every DishTells a Story.

QISSA Restaurant & Grill — a multi-cuisine kitchen and live charcoal grill in Barsha Heights (Tecom). Pull up a chair; the first chapter is already on the fire.

Chapter One — Our Story

More Thana Meal.A Story WorthSharing.

qissa — (n.) a story; a tale told and retold.

In Barsha Heights, between the towers of Tecom, QISSA sets a slower table. A multi-cuisine kitchen rooted in the flavours of Kerala and the wider subcontinent — dum biryanis sealed at first light, beef curry dark with roasted coconut, shawaya turning over live charcoal until evening.

Some stories are written. Ours are plated, poured and passed around the table — because every plate here tells a qissa.

Charcoal Shawaya

Whole chicken turned slowly over live charcoal until the skin lacquers and the smoke writes its own chapter. The dish the grill was built for.
